Description: CBS Sacramento is looking for its next phenomenal producer. The CBS Owned and Operated duopoly KOVR-KMAX is looking for a multifaceted storyteller who excels at crafting memorable newscasts. Producer candidate should have outstanding writing, copy editing, and showcasing skills. The candidate will craft a newscast, write stories and teases, work with art department on graphical elements, and booth live shows from control room. Clear and concise communication in the control room is a must, giving direction to studio and field crews as well as production crew. Full understanding of how digital, social and on-air platforms intersect, with the ability to implement viewer-facing, impactful, and memorable multi-platform content in a timely manner. Take ownership of your assigned show and prove you have the determination to handle extended live breaking news coverage while keeping calm, focused and in control. Understanding of and consistent execution of the stations Getting Answers brand.
Qualifications: 3+ years of experience in a daily broadcast news operation. Should be able to prioritize multiple tasks including line producing, segment producing, writing, story booking and coordination and use of social media.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $67,000.00 - 83,700.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York City, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.
